Field goodsfor a more curious world

Moon: unknown

About

AI-generated image of a small girl, seen from behind, sitting on a rock on an oak hillside in autumn and pointing at a crescent moon, drawn in simple inked lines as a cutout. She wears a dark green T-shirt with the Bureau's moth mark on the back and pink clogs.
Some of the best field work starts with someone pointing at the sky.

My story

Ordinary Wonders Bureau started with a simple idea: everyday life gets more interesting when you pay attention to the small, strange, beautiful things around you.

Some of that curiosity comes from seeing the world through my daughter's eyes: bugs, moons, tiny discoveries, all the things adults get too good at walking past.

I design illustrated apparel inspired by moths, night skies, roadside places, weather, old surveys, and public agencies that never quite existed.

Some designs begin with a real subject, like a moth, a moon phase, a desert landscape or a dog asleep on a porch. Others start with a fictional bureau, survey team, field office, or department that probably should exist.

The goal is always the same: make something that feels thoughtful, a little unexpected, and genuinely nice to wear.

Ordinary Wonders Bureau is for curious people, quiet observers, little explorers, occasional troublemakers, and anyone who still gets excited by finding something interesting just because they happened to look closely.

How it's made

Each design starts as my own concept. I make the artwork with generative AI tools, then select, refine and prepare it for print myself.

Each shirt is printed after you order it. My production partner, Printful, prints it in Charlotte, North Carolina; Coppell, Texas; or Tijuana, Mexico, and ships it to you from the US. Printful chooses the facility for each order.

The adult shirts are Comfort Colors 1717 tees: heavyweight 6.1 oz, garment-dyed, 100% ring-spun cotton.
