Observe a little closer.

The pans hang level even though a feather is weighed against a stone, which is the joke and also the point. The constellation is drawn from the real star positions.

Print artwork: a hanging gold balance scale with a feather in one pan and a grey stone in the other, set against a navy circle of night sky with a constellation drawn in it.
