Observe a little closer.

The sardine tin has little fish drawn on its side too. The stamp is the only view of the sea; everything else is what you'd put on the table.

Print artwork: the Mediterranean through its ordinary things: two lemons on a leafy branch, an open tin of sardines with its lid rolled back, an olive sprig, a blue and white patterned tile and a postage stamp of a white house above the sea. — Plate · Elsewhere
