North American Night Moth Survey Crewneck

Not for sale yet. This design is a preview, so there's nothing to buy today.

A luna moth crewneck sweatshirt, drawn as a specimen plate from the Bureau's entirely unofficial North American Night Moth Survey. The moth spreads its wings under a row of orange moon phases, with navy wildflowers on either side and a centimeter scale at the right.

Color: Sand

Classic-fit fleece crewneck sweatshirt, 50% cotton and 50% polyester, with a rib-knit collar. By the size chart it is about 2″ wider than the unisex tee in the same size (M: 22″ across against 20.25″) and about as long, so most people take their usual size.

Care

Colors on screen are approximate, and light inks can look slightly tinted on red or maroon shirts. A faint square around the print right out of the package is the printer's pretreatment and washes out in the first wash.

Observe a little closer.

The print is drawn like a plate from an old field guide, with a ruler from 0 to 8 centimeters beside the specimen. The survey's notes sit under the wings. Specimen 031 was observed after 22:00 and filed under Nocturnal Field Operations. Its behavior was logged as suspicious.

Print artwork: a pale green luna moth with its wings spread, under a row of five orange moon phases and the navy title North American Night Moth Survey. Navy wildflowers stand on each side, and an orange ruler on the right is marked 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 cm. Orange typed notes under the moth read Behavior: suspicious, Specimen 031, Observed after 22:00. Along the bottom, between two orange rules: Nocturnal Field Operations.
