May Lily of the Valley Birth Flower Framed Print

Not for sale yet. This design is a preview, so there's nothing to buy today.

A May birth flower framed art print: an arching stem of small white bells, printed on the face of a cream seed packet from Bureau Seed Co., a seed house that never existed.

A single stem of small white bells arches between two broad leaves. LILY OF THE VALLEY runs across an olive band at the top, a 5¢ seal sits at the tip of the stem, and MAY · BIRTH FLOWER runs along the bottom. It is No. 05 of twelve, one for each month, all laid out the same way so they read as a set.

Observe a little closer.

The small white bells hang evenly spaced down the arching stem, between two broad upright leaves. Look for the rows of dots along the leaves, and the pale root with its one green shoot in the round frame. LILY OF THE VALLEY is the longest name of the twelve, so it is set smaller to fit; the band stays the same depth as on every other packet.

Print artwork: a cream paper seed packet at a slight tilt, with a thin olive border set with diamonds and dots, and BUREAU SEED CO. · No. 05 on its flap. LILY OF THE VALLEY is printed in cream on an olive band at the top, beside a round olive seal reading 5¢. On the packet: an arching stem of small white bells between two broad upright leaves marked with rows of dots. In a small round frame at the lower left, a pale rootstock with roots and one pointed green shoot. The bottom band reads MAY · BIRTH FLOWER.
