Grey Squirrel in Winter Tee

Not for sale yet. This design is a preview, so there's nothing to buy today.

A grey squirrel T-shirt for winter: an old oak cut open under the snow, with a squirrel asleep in a leaf-lined hollow inside the trunk and its acorns buried one by one in the soil below.

It's drawn like a diagram from an old field guide, so you can see every layer: the snow on the branches, the warm wood of the hollow, and the roots and acorns underground.

Color: Butter

Relaxed, boxy heavyweight tee with dropped shoulders. Most people take their usual size; size up one for an oversized look.

Care

Garment-dyed, so each shirt's color varies slightly.

Colors on screen are approximate, and light inks can look slightly tinted on red or maroon shirts. A faint square around the print right out of the package is the printer's pretreatment and washes out in the first wash.

Observe a little closer.

The acorns are the part most people find on a second look: four of them, each in its own small pocket in the soil. The squirrel is curled small inside the trunk on purpose, rather than hugging a giant acorn.

Print artwork: an old oak cut open straight down. Snow lies pale blue on its two bare branches and on the ground at its foot, marked with small snowflakes, with a few dry grass stems. Inside the trunk, in a hollow lined with dry leaves and bark, a grey squirrel sleeps curled tight, eyes closed, its bushy tail wrapped around it. Below the snow, the oak's roots spread through layers of orange-brown soil, with four acorns buried one by one in small round pockets and a few pale stones.
